BUHARI AND THE DIVERSIONARY TACTIC OF FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

I have hesitated joining the rancorous utterances on the person of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari that first emanated from the presidency via Ruben Abati and later Olisah Metuh of PDP attributing a statement coined by hired news papers and claim to have beenuttered by Gen. Buhari. This is simply because my findings and interpretation of the idiomatic expression employed by Buhari while sending a message to any foreclose tendency of rigging the 2015 election i.e "KARE JINI BIRI JINI" meaning (it is not going to be easy at all) is never in any way related to a call for bloody revolution should the PDP rigged again.

It amounts to cowardice blandishment and naivety for PDP supporters capitalizing in a mere sensationalized media gaff hired by same PDP agents in achieving their objective of garnering lasting animosity against Buhari's person and not necessarily making him unpopular. Just last month PDP was believed to have engineered and subtly make it the headlines of our newspapers that Buhari has said that he is still contesting in 2015, of which what he actually said cannot be translate as vying any position in the upcoming election. All this is aimed at triggering a chaos atmosphere within the opposing political parties. They believe with this rumour peddling like a wild fire Buhari will be forced to make his position known to public so that the ruling party can plan ahead for the encounter.

To PDP, Buhari's position regarding him contesting or not is unarguably strategical, hence the need to advertently wait up before the run. But why must they settle to emotional blackmail? More so, even the presidency is dishing on the same PDP style, of changing the bats, from being responsible to blame game playing. Let's not sleep over this, until today, GEJ is yet to personally decide to contest or not , in the 2015 election, and one is helplessly left bemused as this bogus media championing the course of our objective journalism (if we have one) never felt it owe itself duty to unearth such position from the man now.

Just yesterday PDP national chairman Alh Bamanga Tukur describe Boko Haram as one fighting for justice, yet many boisterously understood him the positive way. I was just imagining same statement to be credited to the peoples' General? hmm! the many of the ardent supporters of this administration would not only crown him as the Boko Haram leader but they will muster courage, both reserved and to be sought in rankling all over the place insulting and name calling.

Understandably, many people would rather choose to be forever led by the nonchalant PDP that doubles as Boko Haram (evidently proven by several self acclamation) than Buhari getting the presidency. To this people it is their right to choose whom they believe is better for them so is others that may differ with them, but at least they should have enough reason to without a shadow of a doubt that the the stateman meant bloody revolution in his speech, then we will also join them in crucifying him, until then, no amount of emotional blackmail of this type will make millions of his supporters draw back from the progressive BB train about to head head Nigeria to its prosperity

The Sudden and Scandalous Increase Of Pump Price of Fuel by the Nigerian Government

Here we are today 1st January 2012, 141 naira per litre, calm down, it is not the official pump price of our domestic water. Be glad that you and I were not part of the people that hypocritically aided and abetted the monstrous PDP in causing Nigerians to go through this hardship, and the most wicked economic measures awaiting us, worst than the unpopular IBB SAP. How I wish for the saying that "No one injures me with Impunity" holds even with respect to those in power, unpropitious we are, for it cannot be the case with those in Authority. Even after the outcry of the helpless masses against the incessant influence and sharpening our economic drivers by the western powers, solely for the for their business interest to prosper in west Africa.

In this New year message, what Nigerians will never forget is operationalizing the removal Fuel subsidy, via The Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) which has already describe it as something that has come to stay due to the extensive consultation with stakeholders across the nation. One wonders knowing any stakeholder of Subsidy more than those intended for, the masses. Few of his apologist are still pleading for Nigerians to give him chance and see what he is going to achieve with the money saved from the subsidy. But to many of his appolgist, GEJ could no longer be regarded as one that would accomplished his promises, because he has already prove himself contrary to what they thought of him. The plea by the economic team leader, Mrs Ngozi Iweala assuring Nigerians that the funds saved from the fuel would be used for the development of the pressing social and infrastructural facilities. But the question is that what have they done, and what are they going to do with the fund that were gotten and those would be?

At least for a moment, one may choose sympathizing with GEJ, what do you think? Does he have any option other than heeding to the calls and yearnings of his masters? He has to if only he want them to go well with him. I now see the reason why even a totalitarian regime of Late Sani Abacha (of blessed memory, hitherto not!) chooses to boycott and resist any form of infiltration of this thistle of imperialist to becoming the architects of our economic growth. With this sort of economic policies' road map, I think the government are from bringing an end to the plight of Nigerians impecuniously living under vast resources. Blahs, I would have to still vote for and stay under the proletariat of our colonial masters than being directly under the masters themselves. Thanks to all GEJ apologist for visionary and sentimentally putting ethnicity before competency and patriotism, Sey na na like this we go de dey, Fresh Air continua Ascerta!

A SUBTLE REJOINDER FOR THE INDOCTRINATED MIND

Ha, Ha! you amuse me further, So you don't want their names to be mentioned, then how would they know that I am responding to their sentimental hatred towards the MOST HONEST LIVING NIGERIAN LEADER? Where where you when they call the General's name and discredit him? OK, lets go back to you the apologist of the most inexperienced, inarticulate, naive and wicked leader that enjoy nothing but afflicting austere hardship and monumental economic sufferings to his people, in addition to overlooking the Bombings to thriving in on the land. Tell me, are we going to confront the oil subsidy removal or his cassava bread palaver, we are not even out of this mess, yet his message to the nation regarding the terrorist's Christmas bombing was a blatant blow to we the helpless masses that "we have to prepare to live with the burden of bomb blasts" while he rest in his villa sleeping comfortably under the protection of his budgeted 900billion security vote and the whopping 1 billion naira daily feeding allowance voted for him self.

Sorry, Mr Ayoola this issue of our Good luck or is it Bad luck as he is now referred even by his supporters that meant and reason well for themselves and their country, has carried me away from responding to your gullible claim against the anointed General, When Buhari took over, It is the laws of the land that stipulates their jail terms according to everyone's severity of his involvement in the most battered embezzlement in the nation's history by that time. Check your history, Shagari's dubious emergence against the popular, focused Chief Awolowo paved way for these politicians you are defending and aided them in wiping out all rules and discipline enshrined in our public service inherited from General Obasnjo's regime. In fact Shagari's administration was just a shield for gangs of hungry politicians, history attest to that. NPN and its allies became popular in syphoning public funds incessantly without paying attention to the major project such as the Operation feed the nation (OFN), Agricultural development projects (ADP), New Commodity Boards among others inherited from it's predecessor. So, as the economy worsen, of course the FG economic team has forecast it, because Shagari was not ready to stop any of his cabinet members or politicians from ditching in public money without recourse, several contracts went unattended, some shadowy attended and were then abandoned. Money laundering become lucrative, the economy becomes chaotic, public service became solely business, Indiscipline stormed the every facets of our endeavour, trust, loyalty and the respect for the constitute authority almost collapsed entirely courtesy of the elite's choice, Shagari against the masses' Awo.

At the end, due to the outcry of the common man, God decide to intervene by sending the Messiah, of course the incorruptible, judicious, accountable, caring, and altruistic General together with his what I will best described as a disciplined and God fearing General, Late Tunde Idiagbon. So these guys truncated the unpopular regime, dismantle the gang's camp, and of course do want them to just go free, Nay! divinity will not forgive that, so they were subjected to the very existing laws of the land which they were hitherto above, and subsequently jailed accordingly. Some were forced to refund what they stole by way of awarding to them new contracts without pay. It is a challenge the incumbent, together with his EFFC to apply same by awarding contracts to those illegal beneficiaries of our fuel subsidy and any other corrupt Ex. Govt officials. Can he? no, because if he try that, he may run out of luck just as we are already, thereby ending up being a victim too. So my dear, you need to wake up from this long sleep, reason well and say no to the injustices and corruption. It is our time, we can't afford degenerating simply because of our unpopular fascism "It is my man there on top, so I can't say anything that will dent his reputation. No, we commend and condemn irrespective of who the actor is. My brethren, let stand for the substance in personality and not just the personality.

Regarding your assertion on the Muslims of the north I do agree with you that often when crisis escalate in the north, churches are being targeted, yes this is due to the inability of the govt. religious leaders to educate the people about the dictates of their religion with regards to sacred places of other religions of the books and even the infidels. Similarly, mosque are also been targeted in areas with Christians strong hold, so it happens also due to the inability of the religious leaders to properly educate her youth. But living in this situation which is clearly known to everybody, yet you find the media taking side when reporting the cases. This has not helped at all; we have to be just to ourselves. Muslims leaders are known in this country, their teachings are known, their position and that of the religion are known regarding this Boko Haram atrocities, yet you still hear the media attributing their menace to Islam and Muslims. With what do you want us to deal with, the target of this Boko Haram were first Muslims scholars, then the govt, anyone that opposed their mission. You guys have made us wasting huge amount of our energy, time and thinking in just absolving ourselves from their heinous crimes against the state, what we could have use all together to think of how to deal with the situation. Please lets all be fair in your dealings. Thanks.

THE PANORAMA OF MY MONUMENTAL TRIP TO NEWCASTLE UPON TYNE

It was Friday night when I discovered to my great amazement that our boarded coach is ticketed to depart by early morning hours of Saturday, 8th October 2011. But Suleiman Babale who had been his jovial self since his arrival from Preston a while ago, has continue to narrate to me what has transpired between him and someone whom he thought to be a  Nigerian-Britain citizen he met in the train. We have of course missed each other for some time, so he promised to spend his weekend with me here in Manchester, even if our supposed trip to see Fauziyya did not hold.
“At Salford Crescent” was the text I read from him which tied me speechless, because I just spoke with him couple of minutes ago while he was preparing to board his train. So I told him to catch the next school bus right away there in the Peel park campus to Mathias court, where I will be waiting for his arrival. Nay! Suleiman while waiting has been smeared by a staggering cold, so he took to the central mosque where he eventually missed the bus. On finding out this, I set out cycling to pick him there, but he said he has begun walking through campus finding his way to Adelphi area, so we can meet there.

Wearing a complete glymur jacket accentuated with black head warmer, gloves and earmuffs, he gave me a friendly warmed hug. Isn’t this ironic, you just told me that you were wearied by the naughty cold of Manchester, aren’t you hot enough not to have wore such multi-layered winter clothing now? I inquire, isn’t that too early? “I only prepared for your colder Manchester” he replied. Well that’s cheeky by the way let’s go home quickly before Arc. Sanusi fumbled in the kitchen while preparing our dinner, “Sanusi must hear this” he replied laughing. Suleiman cycled to home as I continue to mock him of his intense phobia for cold.

We dined and gist through the night, I asked Suleiman to go to bed, but he contest that saying “just leave me you know I have been missing you”.  I know, but I dare told you I miss you more, I passionately replied. Therefore I retired to my bed leaving him and Sanusi going on with the stimulating discussion and. I receive a call from Amina Kontagora asking me about the departure time and also to remind her at least an hour or two ahead of the time. So I did told her and asked her to convey it also to Bello Nagoggo.

Saturday morning, shudehill interchange saw the thrilling team ready to rock the coach to the biggest city of the north east, Newcastle. To my astonishment, Bello did wore a much more thicker cloth than what I saw yesterday from Suleiman’s so called preparedness for the dreary cold -if it were. But Amina’s frock appeared the most surprising attire, so I laughingly said to them are you guys heading to Eskimo? “Don’t mind Saleh” replied cold stricken Amina. Even at that, Bello wanted to add to his body the jacket I carried along in case the weather went windy, so he swiftly grab it off my shoulder contesting to my hesitation. I was dumb stricken watching the drama continue to unfold, when Amina quivered while mesmerizing into the station as Suleiman rolled her red heavy bag behind

We waited for a while and latter all the passengers queue calmly and all check into the coach. We were ferried through Leeds, Borough, Sunderland, Gateshead and across the famous river Tyne. In no time, here we are in the hearth of the most northern county, the Northumberland. A whispering world fizzled to my ears, “this is the time, excuse the team and fly to the historic city of Berwick once referred to by your friend, then to the beautiful coastline of the North Sea, then return and join them later at night. I resisted painfully, but sooner than later I found that Newcaslte worth sacrificing those places whispered.

It was cold and rainy weather just like any other county in the north, especially the most eastern county. So we walked in to GFS to wait for Jide and Fauzy to come and pick us and also to have some hot coffee. Jide arrived and took us through to the city centre.

At the centre, I gave Fauzy a call, authoritatively I was, telling her that we are not going to see her till tomorrow, she quickly opposed my decision as she used to back then in Unimaid, especially if Maunde (my brother and friend) is beside her. She denounces me saying “no! you must be joking MB Saleh, do you know that since my colleagues have been asking me about my visitors, infact our teacher, Mal. Bukar jokingly said may be you have cancelled the visit, just tell me where are you I will be there soon. ” After telling Suleiman he then asked to reverse my early decision then I told her you are lucky meet us at the St. Ann’s square or precisely under the popular Charles Grey’s monument, (2nd Earl Grey). All these well known places sounds orthogonally extraneous to Fauzy’s ears, she quickly put me through to Deborah, on telling Deborah, she subtly told me to wait there, they will get to us latest in 10 minutes.

The appearance of Fauzy, accompanied by two of her friends Deborah and Zainab at the Greys monument was first perceived by Amina, she alerted us their arrival. Wao! We all were elated seeing our reunion here in this marvellous suare. Fauzy did not hesitate in invoking “Noi Babale Jam nee” so, pleasantries continued, we all introduced ourselves to one another. Both Deborah and Zainab were also Unimaid Alumni, I inquisitively asked Zainab about her course and year of graduation, “Civil engineering 2007” replied zainab, oh just a year ahead of myself. Then I further put same question to Deborah, “English 2000”, replied Deborah. Alas! I conciously shred away freezing inside by skinny blanket. I breathed a sigh of relief when Amina said to me “Oh you thought seniority never exist here” They all laughed at me and Suleiman said “we were in S.S1 then” Yeah, sure we are in SS1 then.  Impalpably it seems to be, I finally bow wholeheartedly to now Aunty Deborah. So she led the conversation, before in few minutes I found out that Aunty Deborah was kid at heart, and this has considerably sharpens the way we related throughout our stay in Newcastle. She could not even mind dinning from same plate with us later in the day.

      ....To be continued!
